ANNOUNCEMENT!


To make our grant-making process simpler and more efficient, we are moving to an online proposal process for the Bilateral Workshop/ Symposium/ Conference Program . Our goal has always been to offer the highest quality experience to you -  our valued stakeholders! The new online process allows us to provide better services to you in a more modern environment.

GUIDELINES

 
  • Aim

    Training Program/ Advanced Schools :To enhance scientific knowledge and awareness through a devised pedagogical course including conducted practical classes by assimilating a mix of faculties and trainees from both countries. The proposal is to be designed around a theme of common interest that has a high potential for generating follow-up activities.
  • Eligibility Requirements

    Faculty/ scientists/ researchers from all science and technology disciplines working at Indian and American institutions
  • Proposal Evaluation

The proposals are peer reviewed both in India and US. The final shortlisting takes intoseveral factors in addition to peer review in India and US, such as consideration of encouraging new groups as well as topics, background of Indian and US workshop coordinators as well as proposed speakers, perceived advantage for both Indian and US sides, potential for developing mutually advantageous collaboration, etc. The process is highly competitive and partial support is provided only to a very small number of workshops due to availability of limited funds.

  • Type and Extent of Funding

    IUSSTF provides partial fundingtowards the following expenditure related to the event
    1. International and Domestic Airfare (by economy excursion class & shortest route not exceeding prescribed limits)
    2. Visa fees
    3. Accommodation (At a hotel/ guest house for the actual event duration plus one extra night)
    4. Other event costs (Course material, Tea/snacks, working lunch/dinner,airport transfers/ local transport, etc.)
  • Proposal Guidelines
    1. Proposal should be submitted online at http://iusstf.org/proposal/login.aspx .
    2. Proposal to be submitted jointly by both Indian and US Workshop/ training program Coordinators.
